Gorden Cheng

Gorden Cheng is a classical concert pianist and founder of KMGB Capital, based in San Diego, California. A top prize winner at amateur piano competitions, he studies privately and has been mentored by Yifan Liu, Dr. Robert Xavier Rodriguez, Rinna Livshin, Katherin Dvoskin, Eleonora Karpukhova, and Vitali Margulis. Born in Chongqing, China, Cheng immigrated to the US in 1986 and began piano at age 8. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UT Dallas — where he received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023 — and an MBA from Western Governors University. After a 21-year career in IT and cybersecurity, he founded KMGB Capital, a digital asset management firm focused on self-custody and decentralized finance. He lives in San Diego with his wife Judy and their two sons, Alex and Jamie.
