Shinhye Kim

Daegu, South Korea · Psychologist

Shinhye Kim began piano at four, and music remains a constant in her life. During and after earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology in South Korea, she continued her piano studies, orchestral collaboration, and church accompaniment. Since moving to the United States, she has performed in competitions and concerts. She won first prize in the American Fine Arts Festival Concerto Competition’s amateur category in 2016 and performed at Carnegie Hall. She received second prize at the Musicfest Northwest Young Artist Competition in 2017. She studies privately with Dr. Gwendolyn Mok of San Jose State University and Dr. Rajung Yang of Baylor University. Believing music touches hearts and connects people beyond words, she loves sharing it with wider audiences.
